Wow, the puppet thingie paid off

After nearly five months as a “government employee,” I finally managed to get a job. Starting Monday, I am working for Alternative Strategies, a San Diego-based PR agency with a satellite office in Chicago.

I’m excited. I have some high-end clients and it will be fun to use my talents for good companies (wow, I’m pretty good at the spin).

This is my personal favorite episode, mainly because the premise is bizarre, the concept is so taboo and because it uses interspecies love and Gene Wilder to promote PR.

The idea is that the lamb who Wilder romanced in “Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex But Were Afraid To Ask” has written a tell-all book called “Wool You Still Love Me Tomorrow.”

The idea was just tacky enough to appeal to the editors of www.ianundercover.com who did the episode as a big expose on Hollywood’s secret shame, interspecies love.

This is the fourth episode of PR Puppet Theatre and features a great performance by Ron Christopher Jones as a macaw named Macawly Colkin. It deals with how to be your own publicist and offers tips like having a British friend make your calls for you because they always sound smarter.

The media onslaught continues

I spent 11.5 years working at Wireless Flash News Service, a news agency serving 800 media outlets worldwide, and they were nice enough to do a story about PR Puppet Theatre.

Although they go out to places like Jay Leno, David Letterman, Daily Show and Colbert Report, as of 10:44 a.m. PST, I haven’t been inundated with calls.

I will stay on top of this.

This is the newest episode of PR Puppet Theatre and concerns marketing to Yelp.com.

Although it might not be politically correct to admit it, the way local businesses can make it with Yelpers is by kissing their ass. And this video explains why.

I, Stephen T. Jones and Ron Christopher Jones tried to help the Chargers get some vibes through this meditation on Jan. 11.

Thanks to Dr. Maiysha Clairborne who led us through this.

It didn’t work. Despite chanting “Sppprooooooles” instead of “Ommmmm,” they still lost big.

Pulling the media’s strings…..

Well, I guess I’ve done a good job of pulling the media’s strings with PR Puppet Theatre because CNBC columnist Jane Wells just linked to it in her Funny Business blog.

She thought it was funny except for the part where I asked for work. I don’t think she stayed for the closing theme.
